Silica sand

  • Silica Sand or Quartz Sand: It is the quartz (SiO2) particles whose grain sizes vary between 2.00-0.05 mm, formed as a result of the weathering of metamorphic rocks.  Quartz sands are white, the color of sands containing iron oxide varies from pink to red or brown. Silica sand shows high refractory properties and  It has a stable structure. These features enable silica sand to be used in the foundry industry. Adequacy to reach the product both in terms of cost and desired quality.  In terms of casting, angular sand is used in the casting industry. Angular sand grains as a structure, using the bridge between each other efficiently, the spaces between the grains  provides a reduction.
